1. Desktop oriented
In today’s era lifestyle has changed drastically. Everyone desires a handy outlook. People are more prone and comfortable with mobiles than desktops. So while having your page do not solely be desktop oriented. Enhance your feature to incorporate your work on mobile phones too.
2. Too much data
Nowadays people look for more of pictures, videos and less of content. The lesser the text info your site has the more chances you have to be revisited. Posting longer texts that pose no use to customer will reduces you chances to win.
3. Lack of online portal
Gone are the days when customers needed to dial numbers wait on hold to get q chance to speak to the owner. Now people are more comfortable chatting. Many sites have this feature included where they serve customers 24hours. It becomes easy and convenient for both. When there was only one person to talk now a single person can chat with multiple customers.
4. Trying to be extra clever
Many companies beat around the bush. They tend to over say thing and end up losing the core meaning of their messages. They try to put forwards things in a clever way and boost about themselves in a way helping clients to lose interest.
5. Exact meaning unknowing
Some companies put up so much content. Information about them, their brief history but failing to showcase what they are good at. Customer would like to know about you but then what drives him is the type of services you provide or products you sell. So flood your site with information on your work.
6. Lack of strategic forms
This requires major focus. You would always want to convert your visitors to customers. But imagine they visit and suddenly bombarded with multiple pop ups. This lays a bad impression.
Sort and organize popup so that they appear only on exit.
7. Random designs
The first and foremost thing a visitor is to notice is the look and feel of your website. If it appears to be vague and random than they might never visit your site again. You must take proper care regarding the type of themes, the color, the font, style of display. All should be in a sync to have a good impression.
8. Fxing errors
Keep in mind while updating a UI you must have prior knowledge about how the change affects you and your system.
Consider whether the change is required and if yes then set up a goal. Further every change should meet the goal. If this occurs then only fix the change else ignore.
9. Log in unavailable
To attract customers or incorporate traffic, it turns necessary to have a login option available site wide this must be one of the top stage requirements. If you fail to do so then you are bound to lose great amount of visitors.
10. Flooding with choices
If your site is overwhelmed with choices then user are bound to get lost. They might wander what to do and what not. Proving users with range of options and choices in a single site could be misleading and you might gain zero. Do not over flood with information. Choose a single goal, elaborate it and stick to it. This helps users to be specific about you and your needs.
11. Fail to redirect
With every page a user is to open, there must be a way out to reach to the next page. Visitors themselves might have no idea what to do next or where to land. They might search but then eventually drop out. To prevent this design in such a way that visitors need not find, with every page closure they are redirected to the next page. They know exactly what to do once there
12. Calls to action
Many a times this happens that the page is flooded with content and before proceeding, the visitors needs to scroll and scroll a lot. This turns their mind down. Too much to feeding data and overusing information could turn negative for you. Be wise to have your call to action in the page hero. So visitors are just a click away the next step.
13. testing and feedback
Provide visitors with testing and feedback This is very important in today’s competitive market. Stay tuned with your visitors. Set up testing trials and provide them feedback as well. Many avoid doing this simply because their UI does not support.
14. Too many Images
For everything to be displayed a balance is required. Be it content, videos, images or anything else. There should a pattern for all. Overloading the site with images reduces its speed to load.
It takes more than required and time and this causes visitors to sample leave. No one has time to wait and wait long. Have images but in a limited number. Too much of anything hampers the
display. So these were above mentioned ways to keep in mind while web designing.
